Mazurek Optical Services (MOS) are currently recruiting a General Manager to drive our business in the north of the UK.

MOS is the number one independent microscope servicing company in the UK. We also offer scientific solutions to clients in a range of sectors including education, health and general industry.

The Role

The General Manager will support and deliver the continued growth of the business, providing leadership and direction to the company’s sales whilst taking on the P&L responsibility for their territory.

The Person

The ideal General Manager will have demonstrable experience in managing a company business unit or P&L with a proven track record of sales, marketing and business development delivery. With strong people management skills, you will need good knowledge of some aspect of the optical sector* in which the company operates. You may be an expert in one particular field, yet require training in other aspects – this is not a barrier for the right person, as training will be offered as required.

* Optical sector: Cameras, telescopes, magnifiers and microscopes

You will have strong commercial, communication, leadership and presentation skills, be a professional and personal relationship builder, a proactive networker and fully IT literate.

The successful person will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of this independently owned company, with the potential to develop their career further.


Territory: North of Birmingham, Wales, Ireland and Scotland

Salary: £35K to £40K plus performance bonus
