The Microtec RM-1 POL is a research quality polarising microscope with transmitted illumination. The standard microscope system comprises the followiing:

Binocular viewing tube with phototube

Seidentopf type with beam splitter – 100% visual or 100% to the vertical photo tube

Eyepieces

Widefield 10x/18 eyepieces – one focusing with cross-line and scale graticule

Intermediate Tube

Containing a 360° rotating analyser with 2° 30′ divisions, a centerable Bertrand Lens and a compensator slot

Nosepiece

Quintuple centering nosepiece

Rotating Stage

158mm diameter centering rotating stage with 1° scale and 6’ vernier

Strain Free Infinity Corrected Objectives

Planachromat 4x/NA = 0.10

Coarse and Fine Coaxial Focusing
