Training

Microscope Optical Services provides tailored training for microscope users of all experience levels. Whether you’ve just invested in a new microscope and want to keep on top of maintenance or need a comprehensive training package to nurture essential skills like depth of field, eyepiece calibration, field of view, immersion oil, refractive index, optical pathways and refraction of light, we can deliver a bespoke-hands-on training course that meets your unique requirements.

On-site training and tutorials

Any microscopes purchased from Microscope Optical Services with a total order above £5,000 entitles you to on-site training and tutorials to learn the proper way to use a microscope. Our light introduction includes care of the microscope, alignment for bright field viewing, oil immersion, darkfield, phase contrast, measurement with an eyepiece graticule and camera installations. Training days, workshops and courses can take place in your workplace setting or our premises set in the heart of Offchurch, Warwickshire.

From microscopy introductions to advanced training plans

Microscopes are very complex instruments. Top manufacturers like Nikon, Meiji Techno, Leica and Olympus continue to innovate in the sector, introducing new compound, stereo and digital microscopes with cutting edge features, improved image quality, durability and accuracy. That said, it can take some time to get used to your new ‘workhorse’ and our talented engineers can help you get off to the best possible start. We can also provide more advanced training courses specific to your application, whether that be tissue analysis, examining forensic evidence, studying protein in cells, or researching atomic structures.
